Twelve-year-old mindreader and timebender Alex Delaney has been locked away in Saint Markus Asylum for Children for the past eleven years. With nothing of her family but a note from her mother and brief visits with her future-seeing little sister, Alex wants nothing more than to know her parents personally.
So when Greg, her best friend who can walk through walls, and Foster, a mindcontroller looking to avenge his parents’ murder, ask Alex to help them escape, she agrees. Aided by tagalong and telekinetic Red, a goof-off with heart, she sets off to find her family.
